KFHR Construction Update – Oct 1

Hello,
As you may have noticed, crews are working on the north run-up area. We expect to pave this area Wednesday and open it on Thursday which will complete the bulk of the project. There are many small items yet to complete including the installation of a trench drain on the south side of the terminal, some drainage work in the middle hangar area and some electrical work on the meters north of the terminal. Please use caution for workers and equipment in those areas as well as clean-up along the new taxiway, transient and along taxiway Bravo.

There will be one more night closure on Tuesday, October 2, from 10:00 pm local until 06:00 local to install the last of the mow pads along the edge of the runway. I am told this will be the last night closure. A NOTAM will be issued and airport personnel will be on duty. As before, medical flights will be exempt with a 10 minute PPR.

We tested the new taxiway lights and they look great!

Feel free to call with any questions comments or concerns.
Regards,
Dave
