KFHR Construction Update – Sep 26

Today, September 26th, we’ll be opening the south portion of taxiway Alpha. Later today, we’ll be closing taxiway Golf  (North run-up area)between the runway and taxiway Bravo. Also, Taxiway Alpha will be closed north of the terminal ramp. This is to allow us to rebuild the north run-up area and island. If the winds favor 16, this will require a short back taxi from the new taxiway A3. This closure will last approximately one week and will mark substantial completion of the project. Aside from some very short term closures (1-2 hrs.) for painting, this should be the end of taxiway closures at the airport. Yeah! Please use caution for personnel and equipment travelling and working  in these areas. We will continue to work at night through Friday night this week.

We will also be working in the leeward hangar area installing a catch basin, meter panels north of the terminal and some clean-up throughout the airport. There will be some power outages for D, E, F, G, and H hangars as the meter panel is replaced next Wednesday, October 3rd.
