Hello,
This is to advise you that Friday Harbor Airport (KFHR) will be closed nightly between the hours of 22:00 L, and 06:00L beginning Tuesday Night, September 18th and continuing for 8-10 nights for work in the Runway Safety Area. Lighted X’s will be placed on either end of the runway. Crews will be removing and replacing signs all along both sides of the runway. All runway lights, PAPI’s and Beacon will be off. There is an exception for medical emergency flights with a 10 minute Prior Permission Required (PPR). Call 360-298-2371 or 360-317-8674 for medical evacuation flights only. The helipad will not be affected. Airport staff will be on duty during this closure and monitoring 128.25. Work will also continue during this time along Taxiway ALPHA.
