San Juan Pilots October Potluck features John Nance and recognizes Frank Brame

Our newest member, and new island resident John Nance spoke to the crowd at the Mullis Fire Station.  John brings more than 13,000 flying hours and a wealth of speaking, writing and broadcasting.  His talent, normally reserved for large speaking engagements and national television, was very much appreciated by the small group of intrepid Island flyers.  John recently bought the Roche Harbor house owned by SJPA members Hank and Joan Hill.
SJPA President, Bob Brunkow, presented a plaque to one of the group’s longest-term members, Frank Brame.  Frank, a former president and currently an emeritus member of the board was recognized for his many years of help to the organization.  To the best of our information, among is many aviation achievements, Frank still holds a sailplane record for time aloft.
