The Olympic TFR was cut short and officially ended effective midnight 13 March 2010 with little or no fanfare. I called the FAA and the Seattle FSS today and confirmed this.
The original ending date was scheduled to be 25 March and some of the older NOTAMS showing that date are still on the FAA’s website and elsewhere. All day Sunday, KBLI tower ATIS was still advising that the TFRs were in effect and it was still showing on my Garmin 396. But as of Monday evening, both the tower and my GPS didn’t mention the TFR.
Here is the NOTAM which tacitly announces the revised ending date.
Be it remembered that in the original TFR notices, it did say the times and dates were subject to change. Nice to see they meant it.
